Cold Coffee makes you beautiful

Cold Coffee makes you beautiful

It is said that cold coffee makes you beautiful. But where does this saying come from and what does that mean?

At all times, people have adorned themselves with what was available and suited their ideal of beauty. In the Baroque period, for example, it was considered as beautiful to make-up very much. Wigs were worn on the head, the face was covered with a thick white layer of powder and the lips were painted bright red.

But the dispensing of these remedies were far from mature. On the contrary, one had to be very careful so that the make-up and the lipstick did not blur or “peel off”.

There was also the hot steam of coffee a danger, because it threatened to blur the cleverly arranged “face artwork”. Therefore, the coffee in the noble circles was only drunk cold, because “cold coffee makes beautiful”.

Although, “preserve the beauty” would have been better.
